Building upon the renowned low center of gravity (LCG) design of its predecessor, the Ascent Fusion takes things to a whole new level with cutting-edge upgrades that'll leave you breathless with excitement. As a result of these upgrades, there is added power, performance, durability and the center of gravity has been moved significantly lower than the original Ascent. All of this and the Ascent Fusion is still lighter than the Everest Ascent. This is one mean crawler.
The Ascent Fusion is equipped with a powerful HOBBYWING Fusion RTR 2-in-1 FOC brushless power system. This revolutionary setup integrates a brushless ESC directly into the motor can, optimizing weight and space on the chassis for maximum performance. The 540 size motor is rated at 1800KV and utilizes 4 poles for added efficiency and smooth control. As a result of this new power system, the Ascent Fusion delivers superior control, increased wheel speed, smooth power delivery, and enhanced efficiency. This motor, along with other upgrades, has boosted the performance of the Ascent to a whole new level.
The Ascent Fusion is engineered with precision and passion, this beast strikes the perfect balance between raw performance, unwavering durability, and rock-solid stability. By utilizing 3mm thick carbon fiber frame rails, shock towers, and motor mount, the center of gravity of the Fusion is lower than its predecessor. We’ve taken things a step further with additional weight distribution enhancements, including the integration of 46g brass outer portal covers and positioning the motor 6mm lower in the chassis. This combination results in a more stable and agile crawler. Newly designed CNC aluminum diff covers further improve performance and maneuverability by providing more clearance for the front steering link, which results in more overall steering. This paired with a precision HEXFLY metal gear digital steering servo gives the Ascent Fusion a tight turning radius. Out of the box, the Fusion’s steering servo provides an operating speed of 0.14 sec/60° and an impressive torque stall rating of 35kg/cm. This servo is also capable of putting out 42kg/cm of stall torque and speeds of 0.12 sec/60° when supplied with an external 8.4V BEC. Featuring an aluminum center case for superior heat dissipation, this servo is built to last. With its unmatched performance straight out of the box, there's no need for upgrades – a rarity in the world of RTR crawlers.
The Ascent Fusion is packed with features designed to push the boundaries of RC rock crawling. From its double-shear portal axle shock & link mounts to its sturdy metal steering and suspension links, every inch of this beast is fine-tuned for maximum performance. With ball bearings throughout, red anodized washers, black anodized aluminum chassis braces, metal wheel hexes and more, the Ascent Fusion is built to withstand the toughest terrains and most difficult challenges with ease.
Featuring newly designed low-profile steel bumpers for incredible approach and departure angles, blackout 4-piece beadlock wheels, and aggressive open lug soft compound rubber tires, the Ascent Fusion not only performs exceptionally well, but looks strikingly mean on the trails.
We’ve also re-tuned the aluminum bodied oil filled shocks for the best possible stability and usable tire grip. In our quest for perfection, our in-house engineers have made strategic adjustments to the shock setup. They've swapped out the front outer springs for softer ones, while still utilizing the front inner springs, and removed the rear inner springs altogether.
This amazing vehicle also includes metal portal gears, CNC machined spools and a divorced transfer case, which utilizes quick change gearing. This enables the driver to change the underdrive gearing ratio without having to remove the entire transmission. The Fusion comes with a 20% underdrive gear set installed, with included optional 0% and 10% underdrive gear sets in the box, so the driver can quickly fine tune performance for any offroad scenario.
